The terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below by Black Oak Wood Co.

Age of Consent/ Privacy policies:

By using this site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not accept orders from anybody under the age of 18. 

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow GDPR guidelines to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. With your permission, we may occasionally send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. If after you opt-in, and you change your mind you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you. Contact us on info@blackoakwood.co.uk

We promise we will never share your personal information with any third-party services.

Compliance with laws:

The website may be used only for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations regarding the website and any transactions conducted on or through the website.

Delivery cost/ fees and pricing:

A standard £70 delivery fee is added on to your check out, We hand deliver all our tables and assemble on site within mainland UK. We will take you through our full aftercare service and show you how to use our aftercare kit (If you have purchased one for a resin table). This price covers Essex, Cambridge, Suffolk, London, Hertfordshire and Kent. 

Please note, that additional costs will apply for travel outside a 40-mile radius from us, ensuring we can maintain our high standard of personalised delivery and assembly service regardless of your location.

If you are outside of these counties you will be charged the £70 on check out. Then once you have placed your order for your item online you will receive an invoice for your delivery quote using the post code you supplied, and you will receive a call from us within 24 working hours. If you are unhappy with the price of your hand delivery and personal assembly service upon receipt of this quote, we are more than happy to issue you a full refund for your item. Alternatively you are welcome to contact us before ordering to ask for a delivery and assembly quote. 

Delivery cost is calculated depending on weight and final delivery destination of the products ordered. Within the UK.

Please note, delivery prices quoted on this page apply to the UK only. If you live elsewhere in the world, please contact us for a bespoke delivery and assembly quote.

For customers who live outside of the United Kingdom, Black Oak Wood Co. claims no responsibility for any import taxes or duties. All cross-border duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer and these costs can vary depending on the country. We advise you to research these thoroughly in advance of ordering.

Please note; all lead-times quoted are estimates, these can be longer or shorter than the quoted times due to various circumstances outside of our control.  

Dispatch/ Delivery time:

We dispatch in stock pieces within 5 business days of purchase. Made to measure or design-to-create orders are made and dispatched within 4-8 weeks. All dependent on size and materials used.

Materials used:

Please be aware that due to the natural and unavoidable variations of the materials used in the production, the design-to-create pieces may vary from the pictures showcased on our webstore. Materials, such as wood and resin, may have natural inconsistencies in grain, pattern and colour and shape etc.

Order Cancellations:

We offer a 14 days grace period where the customer can cancel their order at no cost to them, by contacting us via email on info@blackoakwood.co.uk

After this point it is likely that we have started work on your order and due to the bespoke, hand made, one-of-a-kind nature of the items we are unable to offer a refund. 

Payment:

For our design-to-create bespoke service, we charge half up front as a non-refundable deposit (outside of the initial 24hr grace period – see below), with the final balancing payment due before delivery. Payments on website will be taken in full plus standard £70 delivery (covering Essex, Cambridge, Suffolk, London, Hertfordshire and Kent.

If you are outside of these counties you will be charged the £70 on check out. Then once you have placed your order for your item online you will receive an invoice for your delivery quote using the post code you supplied, and you will receive a call from us within 24 working hours.

Returns:

For enquiries regarding return of non-bespoke orders, please get in touch via info@blackoakwood.co.uk, quoting your order number, within 14 days of receiving your order. Return requests notified more than 14 days after receiving your order will not be accepted, unless they are faulty or ‘not fit for purpose’ (please note; this does not affect your statutory rights) Please note: If an item is faulty and you attempt to repair it yourself, this will invalidate your ability to return the item.

Unless they are faulty, all items are returned at the cost of the customer. Any costs incurred to return non-faulty items are non-refundable by Black Oak Wood Co.

Following receipt of your written notice confirming your intent to return, the goods must be returned unused, and in a fully resalable condition in their original packaging without undue delay and in all circumstances no later than 14 days after the day you have informed us of your decision to cancel.

Once received within 14 days we will check all goods before giving a full refund, please allow 7 days for refund on goods only.

Please note: Unless they are faulty, our design-to-create, bespoke tables cannot be returned to us, as they are made especially for you. It is very important that you make sure you are happy with your chosen wood, resin, colour, measurement and item in general and that you double check all details BEFORE placing your order. We will work with you throughout your design-to-create/ made-to-measure/ bespoke design ensuring we do everything you have asked and want in your table. But once made and delivered they cannot be returned, unless faulty.
